Internal micrometers

Micrometers are precision tools used in the trade to measure diameters, boreholes and threads. They consist of a threaded mechanism that presses a movable tip onto a fixed stop surface by turning it. The measured size can be precisely determined by reading the scale on the thread mechanism. Micrometers are widely used in metalworking, mechanical engineering and quality control to determine precise dimensions and check the accuracy of fit of workpieces.
